Deone grew up in the Salt Lake City area. She is a graduate of the University of Texas, San Antonio with a BA in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Legal Studies. She minored in Spanish and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Deone and Mark are the parents of 8 children and grandparents of 21. Family and faith is of utmost importance to the Mark and Deone Mears family.
